I had to wait quite while to meet this cutie! We had his session set up, but between illness and weather, we had to put it off a bit. He was in such a good mood and full of smiles, so I'd say it was a good thing to wait! I couldn't have asked for a happier little guy!

He cracked me up with his adorable "peek-a-boo" and finger snaps. He could also turn on the charm and smile with a look that could melt any mom's heart. I bet that smile will help him stay out of trouble! Seriously, who could get mad at a sweet face like that!

Sweet Little "r"

Well it's been a long time since I have posted {I'm still recovering from the chaos of the holidays!!}, but what better way to start off than with this sweet little newbie!

I mean seriously, this little peanut couldn't get much cuter! He was only 5 days new, and slept almost the entire session! He also loved to be all bundled up, and kept his arms and legs drawn under him the whole time. I just LOVE his head full of hair!

Mom, dad, and the grandparents were great to work with, and were such troopers when we had a "little" surprise accident! Their sweet sweet golden retriever is adjusting well to their growing family. She was super sweet and calm with the baby. She would always look up to mom and dad to be sure it was ok!

I think these two will be best buds one day soon! Couldn't resist a few photos of the puppy alone too!

Congrats mom and dad! Your new little guy is absolutely precious, and the perfect addition to your family!

The holiday photo shoot season has been in full swing for the past two month or so, and I am swamped with proofing, orders, and eventually, getting ready for the holidays myself! It is such a beautiful time of year to take photographs, and the fall colors have now become my favorite! I am so thankful for my many wonderful clients, and it's been so fun having lots of repeat business from last year's newbies! It always amazes me how much they have grown and how much hair they have!

I am totally booked up into January, but if you are reading this now, keep in mind it's not to early to book your spring session! I have already scheduled a few for March and April!

Stay tuned for ordering deadlines to be sure that you can get your print in time for Christmas! Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family!

The holidays are soon upon us, and like many of my clients, this will be a baby's first Christmas! It is so fun to mark this memorable time for a baby and family!!

Mom and dad wanted to try out a few holiday shots, and I think she looks like she is ready for Christmas! She is almost 3 months old, so she was more alert for most of the pictures, and even gave us a few smiles!

I've had a lot of repeat clients lately, and just had a chance to shoot a few 6 month photos for two of my newborns. I just love that age between 6-9 months, when the babies are sitting up, smiling and laughing, and really starting to show their personalities!! So fun!

Seriously, this sweet little thing was a chicken for Halloween! She wasn't too crazy about the hood, but oh my, she was sooo cute! The best part were her yellow and orange striped tights!

Watching my client grow is such a fun part of my job! I can still remember when this little guy was brand new and now he is TWO!

Couldn't you just eat up those curls??? I just adore curls, and even cuter on a little boy with big blue eyes! Enough to make you swoon! Such a sweet moment between him and his dad, and a rare moment of still during this photo shoot! He sure was on the move, and made me work for my pictures this time! No problem here, and just thrilled that he was such a happy little guy!!

This afternoon, I had a fun family session! The weather has been much cooler, and it was very overcast, making it a great day for enjoying the outdoors and taking pictures. These children were just precious! The little guy just turned ONE year old, and he was all smiles from the minute we got out of the car! It was so cute; he would just smile and then break into laughs and giggles! I could just eat that up! So cute!!

His big sis is about to have a birthday herself, and was quite a princess talking about her cake and princess stories. My favorite part of her outfit were her cute little pink toenails! Having all boys, it's so fun to appreciate all the little things that a girly girl enjoys! Pink finger nails, toenails, princesses, and PINK!

This weekend, I had another fun one year birthday session! This sweet little girl had just started walking a few days before, so she wasn't quite steady on her feet yet. She fooled us though! See this little guy? He just couldn't wait to get his hands on his daddy! I met this family a few months ago for their twin boys first birthday. Their dad is in the US Army and has been deployed for several months. When I got a call from his mom last week asking if I could photograph their reunion, I was honored and so excited. What a special moment to see these children and their mom get to hug their dad again!

Not to mention these cuties who were much littler and not mobile when he left! Look out daddy...they are on the move now!

Mom thought we'd be able to go meet their dad at the gate, but we were so disappointed to learn that the US Air ticketing agent and the TSA staff wouldn't help us make it happen. Their was a hang up with security and the timing of dad's flight, but we headed to the chapel where we could look out the window and watch for planes.

Although we only waited for him for about an hour at the airport, it seemed like forever to this cute 3 year old! We watched and waited, and took note of the "DO NOT ENTER" sign, giving serious thought to charging past to head to the gate.

He's here! Little "s" did break past the line, and we were pleased that there weren't alarms, lights, and bells. Just a deep "Please step back, do not enter" voice, not enough to hold back this 3 year old from running to hug his daddy! I don't blame him!

What a sweet moment! Little "s" was making up for lost time hugging his daddy's neck! Oh, and it turns out that his dad isn't only a hero to his son. We met quite a few folks in the airport who wanted to shake this soldier's hand and tell him thank you for his service. It was very touching! Just a small thing, but how do you thank someone for serving our country and sacrificing so much time at home with their family?

Dad couldn't believe how big his boys had gotten and how much they'd grown! He couldn't keep his eyes off of them!

Welcome home soldier! Your family is so happy to have you back home safely, and so are we! Hug those babies!

Meet Mr. "S"...an adorable BIG brother to two equally adorable TWIN one year old little brothers! This little guy did so good for our shoot, went with the flow, let his brothers take the spot light, and just enjoyed being at the park! Such a sweetheart!

Now meet the TWINS! So funny, such a delight, and they are easy to tell apart. They both have precious smiles and giggles, but little "t" has barely any hair, and little "r" has a head full!

Oh, and seriously, get out of town! How cute are these little boxers???? Mom had a pair made for both boys to wear for their cake smash (just one day before their REAL birthday!).

Now for the fun! Although both cakes were identical, mr. "r" only wanted his brother's cake, and his brother was quick to push him away! It was so funny to watch them interact and just enjoy eating cake!

Happy Birthday little guys! I hope that you had a great time smashing cakes on your real birthday too!

We couldn't have had such a great shoot without all of the family there to help out! I could tell right off that mom was prepared! She brought along three grandmothers and we divided to conquer! Dad is deployed right now, and we are blessed to have people like him to serve our country, and equally thankful for the supportive families that are here at home to help out! It was so good to meet you all, and dad, I hope that you can get a glimpse of your little guys here enjoying their big day! Thank you for all that you are doing abroad!

Well hello there miss blue eyes! This sweetheart has the prettiest, sparkly blue eyes and was just full of smiles! Mom is a friend of mine, and we met early in the morning for her nine month session, hoping for happy moods.

This was one of the first photos that I took that morning....as you can tell, smiles were not a problem! She was FULL of them! Big sister was too!

Mom pulled out the CUTEST pale pink tutu outfit! It looked divine in the soft sunlight of the morning. I could have snapped away all morning! I just LOVE the light here, her adorable outfit, and sweet smile!

With this beautiful spring weather, I have been super busy with outdoor shoots! Last weekend, I finally was able to meet this great family! We tried to coordinate a session earlier in the fall, but with four kids, extra curricular activities and busy schedules, it just didn't work out. They were a pleasure to work with, and the kids were so polite! Must be nice to raise your children and then hear the speak with good manners and be polite! Let me first apologize for being so behind in posting! I took this past week as vacation with my family, as my children were out on spring break. We had a ball in Florida and enjoyed the sun and the smell of fresh salty air in the ocean breezes { we got to catch up with family too, which was even more fun! }. I did rock out the editing in the car though...about 12 hours in the car each way left lots of computer time for me thanks to my sweet hubby for driving!

This little sweetheart was absolutely, adorably, soft, sweet, and cuddly during his shoot! I know, how many "sweet" words can I throw in there, but he truly is a darling! He was 5 days old during his shoot, and slept the whole time. His big brothers {yes, he has 2, so they are a family I can relate to with 3 boys!!} are super excited about their new addition.

In fact, the oldest brother told his mom " I used to think about fishing all the time, now I just think about baby "h" all the time!" Oh what fun they will have as they grow up!

It is no secret that I love, love, love newborn photography! There is something amazing about being witness to the absolute perfection of a brand new baby. I was surprised this weekend with a request for a newborn session for a little guy who arrived a little early, and I was happy to be there and photograph this sweet angel, just four days young!!!

He is one of the tinier babies that I have photographed, and had the sweetest little fingers and toes...I know, I say that a lot, but I love baby toes and fingers, and his sweet little lips were to die for! Not only was this sweet little angel a delight to work with, but he also has the cutest big brother around. Big brother was chatty and helpful, and super cute himself! No wonder his nickname at school is "Romeo!" He is so handsome and told me all about his girlfriends. Look out mom and dad, you have a heartbreaker on your hands!

Today was a beautiful day for an outdoor shoot! Even more fun was the location this time. The "a" family asked to meet at the Dairy Barn for their maternity shoot, which was also where they were married! So fun to go somewhere that has meaning to the client! This couple was up for anything, and we made our way through the fields to capture some great photos! We had some noisy onlookers for a while...a pasture of horses! Can't wait to meet the baby frog! He's lucky to have great parents who can't wait to meet him!!

The "e" family has had their session scheduled for about two months. We met at the park, finally good weather after the snow we had, and the kids were as cute as could be in their outfits.

Fast forward about three minutes into the shoot, and this little guy fell right into the mud! Red clay at that!!!

We decided to try and take some more pictures, from the waist up, but about three more minutes later, this cutie ended up in the mud again! This time, covering his shoes, and was a real mess. Bless his heart! We had to laugh, and as the mom to three boys, I totally could have seen the same thing happen to me! Oh well, we tried again yesterday {things have had a chance to dry out around here, and it was a BEAUTIFUL day!!} and I know mom and dad will love the pictures!!

Here is another family that I have been shooting since little miss "a" was born! She is about 15 months now, and I can hardly believe how she has grown!!! Bless her heart, there were so many bugs on the beach that evening, the gnats were just swarming our heads! She was a trooper!!! I have worked with mom for a few years now, and they are such a cool family! Most of the time during a shoot, I ask mom and dad if they'd like a shot together {if you guys are anything like me, you don't have any {or just a few} pictures of you and your spouse after the kids are born!} I love the spontaneity of the kiss! Little miss "i" was just a few days old at our shoot last weekend! She was SOOO sweet, but didn't want to sleep much. When she did drift off, she smiled!! Not just a little glimpse of a smile, but an all out grin from ear to ear! SOOOO CUTE! Sweet sleeping babies are just angels!

Oh this little thing is so cute! I have had the honor of photographing her since birth, and she just gets cuter every time!! She just turned six months old, and has grown so much since her newborn and three month sessions!! I just love this age! I know, I say that a lot, but six to nine months is just adorable! Their little personalities are starting to come out, and they love to smile and flirt with the camera! Not to mention those sweet little chubby hands and feet, soft skin, and precious coos! Simply irresistible! Oh, and I must say for the record, she has the most beautiful baby blues!!!

Some highlights from this weekend's shoot! These kiddos were so fun! What a great family! Big sis just wanted to hold her brother, help out, and be in every picture! She was so funny! I have a 3 year old too, so I felt right at home with her! Wish we could bottle up some of that 3 year old independence and determination and sell it! Her little brother was so sweet. It took him a little while to open up, and then he was all smiles, tongue sticking out and all! So cute!! Oh, and by the way...they are huge Clemson fans! Go Tigers!

So my blog has lately become full of sweet little newborns! I just love these little ones so much! It's the best part of my job--holding a sweet perfect tiny gift from God with amazement of what the world has in store for him. Mr. "r" is just 5 days old today!! He slept through almost the entire session and did fabulous! He loved to snuggle right up and lay on his arms while he snoozed! I was super impressed with mom getting up and down to help get him situated, while still sore and tired from delivery. Congratulations to this sweet family! Happy Days ahead for you and your new little guy!!

I had the pleasure of photographing this sweet thing when she was still in her mommy's tummy! The maternity pictures were so cute, and you could tell so quickly how excited they were and full of anticipation of their new baby girl's arrival!

Sweet "l" arrived a little ahead of schedule, but was welcomed into her new home full of joy! She was awake for most of the shoot, and so cute with a head full of hair, just waiting for cute little girl bows! Having all boys myself, I love all things girly! There's simply not enough of that in my life, so it was so fun to see her nursery decorated in pink and green! Super cute, and I love it all!!! Welcome home sweet "l"!

Oh my, this little guys was such a treat! His mommy contacted me months before his arrival, and he was the first addition to the family (after the cute little dog!). Here are some sneak peeks from another recent session! I've been overwhelmed with sessions lately, which is a good thing, and trying to catch back up on things! Thank you everyone for your patience!!! Each session is lots of fun, and I love meeting the families and kids! These guys were great to work with, and we enjoyed walking around a local park. There were tons of geese in the pond, and we definitely had to watch where we walked!! There was also a cool old building and rock wall. We even learned a little history while we were there! Thanks "v" family!!

This afternoon, I met a really fun family, and we got to play at the park! The little girl stole my heart from the start when she hopped out of the car in a purple leotard with rhinestones, a pink tutu, pink cowboy boots, and a purple glitter crown! She was quite a princess! Mom said that this is her favorite dress up outfit, and she wore it well! As a mom to all boys myself, I love the pink tutu and cowboy boots!! Soooo cute! Her little brother was pretty adorable himself! He has the most beautiful big brown eyes, and after a bit, he started to open up and smile for me! We had lots of fun playing together in the park! Boy do I love my job!!

I met the sweetest little baby today! I know, I probably say that after each session, but this little cutie did so good! He was a little over 2 weeks old, which sometimes makes those sleepy pictures a challenge, but he cuddled right up and slept for most of the shoot! He sure was precious and made my job easy! They also had the cutest little hat! I'm a sucker for hats, and think little babies look so adorable in a little tiny hat! Especially, a hand made one! Congrats mom and dad! You have an adorably perfect little guy! Enjoy those sweet baby cuddles!!!

My son went to school with one of these guys last year, so I was worried that the kids would feel awkward with me taking their picture...just a few minutes in and they were acting themselves, smiling and laughing!! So cute! The little girl is adorable, and picture perfect, and her brothers had fun just being silly and being boys! We got lucky toward the end of the shoot and even saw a little wild bunny!

This sweet little baby has grown since her newborn shoot, but still has the most beautiful eyelashes! She is wearing the most amazing handmade christening gown, and it was so special to capture her in it. At the end of the shoot, she passed out. I just can't resist those sweet sleeping babies!!! Her skin is creamy perfection, her lashes like little angel wings, and her lips soft pink. So incredibly angelic!

I had so much fun at this session for a friend and her lovely family. The kids were cute...well, funny being that the oldest has hit the "trying to be funny without really being funny" stage that mine are nearing, and the little girl just adorable. WOW! I have been sooo busy this week! Spring has officially started, and I have been super busy doing my outdoor shoots at the local gardens. The flowers are in full bloom, the cherry trees are beautiful, and the azaleas are about to burst! I also have several newborn shoots coming up, and they are always so much fun! I just love the newbies!!! Super sweet tiny little toes! Who can resist???

Off to go do some more proofing while my little one is sleeping! Weekends are booked until July, but I do have some availability in the evenings during the week. Be sure to call soon if you want your Spring shoot!

Today, I was able to photograph a seven day "old" sweet baby girl! Even though I do quite a few newborn shoots, being around my three boys makes me forget how tiny and delicate those new ones are.

I had a few minutes this weekend to take some pictures of my adorable niece! She has grown so much, and has the most beautiful eyes! I couldn't resist capturing that sparkle...oh, and those cute chubby cheeks!!!!

Max and Sparticus

The dogs weren't the main reason for this shoot, but we were thrilled to get them to sit together and snap a few pix of them as well! Max and Sparticus are both golden retrievers, and are such sweet dogs!! I have a special place in my heart for goldens (because we have one, although she's wearing on us with all of her chewing). I just love how this photo of M & S turned out!

The best thing though is that this couple is expecting their first child in a few weeks! I am so excited for them, and they will be great parents. We work together, and it's been fun watching her belly grow. Congratulations!! Can't wait to meet baby "b"!

My new year has been filled with newborns!! Such fun to photograph! This little guy is truly a blessing to his family and will be overwhelmed with love from his older brothers! He slept through the entire shoot and was the perfect subject for my photographs! Amazingly, he has perfect skin and no blemishes, at just 5 days old. Little babies are PERFECT! Such a gift from GOD!!

I had my last shoot for the year today!! It has been incredibly busy, which is a good thing, but I don't like not feeling on top of things, so I'm ready for a slow down! I got to see a sweet newborn today, and he was super cute! It was a nice break from all of the editting and ordering that I've been doing lately.

The fun part of my job is that it's almost like Christmas every day! When my orders come in, I get so excited to see the prints. I know I can see them on the computer, just like you see your proofs, but it's so fun to see them in person when they come in! It's great to see what I saw through the camera on paper, and even better to see the reaction of my customers when I get to hand over their prints!

Yesterday, I had my 2nd chance to photograph twin babies. Last time they were both boys, this time, they were 2 sweet baby girls. They would totally fall fast asleep when they were snuggled up to each other! It was just precious. By the end of the shoot, I could even tell them apart. Thanks to my friend who helped with the shoot, we got lots of great pictures for mom and dad! Congrats on your perfect little babies!

This family was so much fun to take pictures of! We were able to go to a farm of a friend of the family! It was SOOO beautiful out there, and although it was muddy, we all managed to stay pretty clean. There were the most beautiful and friendly horses there as well! Little "j" was definately on the go, but he always checked back with mom and I, and I was able to get some precious pictures of him! His big sister was a hoot, and especially loved the silly noises on my phone...hey, whatever works!

Oh my, I have been so busy! The holidays are right around the corner, and more importantly, the holiday cards, which require just the right picture! I'm a little concerned about mine. I might have to be creative, as my children are tired of being around a camera! Maybe I'll just have to catch them off guard!

Like I said...lots of newborns! I love it and they are so snuggly and sweet. Here are some of a little baby girl that I took this weekend. Her mom saw some of my pictures of a friend of hers, sporting the same cute pink hat, so we had to get some of those! I have all boys, so any chance to snap a few girly picutes, I LOVE! This family was so sweet to be patient on my while I was sick, so we re-scheduled for a week later. Little "e" slept through the whole shoot! She was perfect!! This was surely one of my easiest newborn shoots to date! Congratulations mom and dad, you have a precious baby girl! You are very blessed!

Here is one of my favorites from a recent newborn shoot. This little guy was 5 weeks old, however, he just couldn't wait to meet his mom and dad, and he arrived 4 weeks early. Needless to say, he was still teeny tiny. He was awake for most of the shoot, but managed to give me some sweet smiles will he was trying to drift off to sleep! I just can't resist sharing this with you! Lots more to come, but I my computer was slow tonight, so I can only upload one for now! I just love all of these little newborns! Nothing is sweeter than a brand new baby!!!

Catching Up

I am finally caught up on editting all of my sittings! Just in time for 2 newborns this weekend. I can't wait! I had to re-schedule them from last weekend because I caught bronchitis and was in bed. Didn't want those sweet babies to catch anything from me! I am looking forward to meeting these new little ones and capturing their "tininess" , if that is even a word, but you know what I mean! They change so quickly at that age, and newborn photos are truly a special thing because you can't go back and capture those first few days! Stay tuned for some sneak peeks from those sessions!

Canvas

I recently did a shoot for a family of their two girls, and their beautiful dog, Astro. Astro is a labradoodle, and so soft. He is also the center of the family, and very much loved! The girls were just a delight to photograph, and the pictures turned out so nice. They ordered a large canvas for their home, and it came in on Friday. When I took it to their home to deliver it, I was so pleased that she was thrilled with how it turned out! It by far exceeded her expectations! I can't say enough about these canvases. The "painted look" really is amazing! They are kind enough to let me come back and take a picture of it, once it's in the frame on the wall! I will share that soon!

Oh, and by the way, they are the biggest Clemson fans I have met!

Fall Sittings

Things are starting to get busy, and it's funny to hear so many of you thinking about your holiday cards! I, of course, am as well...it's the nature of my business, and something I love, so I am always thinking of ways to use pictures!

I have a short break before more newborn and infant shoots. Fall is booking up quickly, so if you are considering making an appointment, go ahead and do it now. I will be traveling to Augusta for a weekend for several clients, and to Atlanta the weekend of Columbus day. If you live there or will be in that area and are interested in pictures, just let me know! I will also be going back to the Charleston area soon.

I had a shoot for some friends last night that went wonderfully. We did family shots, as well as individual, and the kids were great! Can't wait to see how they all turn out!!

One of the downsides of designing your own website without many computer skills is that when this happens, I have to fix it myself! That may take a little while!! Ok, sorry about all the craziness of the blog. I am in the process of getting the website up and running, which luckily it is, and updating the blog, however, I haven't had much time to get the design here and start it...so hang in there, please check back...it will be up and going soon...SORRY! We've had lots of sickness around here this week! Praying for a healthy family now...

My new website launches today!

Yeah, my new website is launching today! I am so excited to finally have things going and looking good. Thanks to all of the little cuties who appear in the galleries! I definately couldn't do my job without some adorable little munchkins to capture on camera!

My goal here is to keep this updated with a few of my favorites from recent sessions. This will also give my clients a sneak peak to their pictures before the proofs are ready.
